Message 93TTZ, I replaced the clutch, slave and master cylinders in summer of 07, summer of 08 and on every so often I would have a weird issue where the clutch pedal would be completely dead for no reason. I would have this issue for a few days on and off and then the issue would disappear completely it would seem for several months if not longer. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago I start having the issue a ton and pumping it up all the time and the issue isn't going away. Local Nissan place that handles Z's is a week out for service so I take it to a local shop since I need the car. They said bad slave and hose (fluid all over the place) got that and called me back and said the master needs to replaced since they still have a dead pedal (mind you the master has a little over 50k on it). This turns into a nightmare in its own right but they get it Friday and after 3 days of working on it all they have is a partial pedal. It shifts very hard and I have to start it in gear. They wanna drop the tranny but there tone of voice is not convincing and I know these cars well enough I don't think its the issues they think it is (broken spring has gotten itself wedged and won't let the release plate release?) They said they only bled from the one main point. Not the 2 pts. How much damage can I do to the tranny driving it like this? And does this sound like what I think it is, just an improperly bled clutch? Transmission was shifting fine. before the new parts.
